Dochas – Code of Conduct on Images and Messaging
Camara has been a signatory to the Dochas Code of Conduct on Images and Messages since 2009. By signing the Code, we commit to a set of principles, ensuring that we will avoid stereotypical or sensational images. The adoption of the Code means that Camara will choose images and messages that represent the full complexity of the situations in which we work, and that we will seek the permission of the people portrayed in the photos we use.
The Governance Code
Camara is compliant with the Governance Code which is a Code of Practice for Good Governance of Community, Voluntary and Charitable Organisations in Ireland.
Safeguarding Policy
Camara believes that everyone we come into contact with either in person or through our digital channels, regardless of age, gender, disability, or ethnic origin has the right to be protected from all forms of harm, abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
