About Us

Since 2012, Camara Education Tanzania has evolved into a leading provider of sustainable EdTech solutions that transform teaching and learning. Our work has benefitted over 200,000 students in more than 750 schools across mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar.

We are currently partnering with schools and educational institutions in all 30 regions of the country, delivering a holistic package of products and services designed to support schools in their journey to harness technology for improved educational outcomes.

For us, hardware and computer labs alone are not enough. Strengthening the capacity of teachers and school leaders to integrate ICT into teaching and learning has become a primary focus. We are committed to equipping schools with the resources, knowledge, and skills needed to ensure all students have access to a quality education

Our Name & Logo

‘Camara’ is a West African Bantu-derived word and means ‘teacher’ or ‘one who teaches with experience’. The correct pronunciation is ‘Ca mar ra’.

The ANANSE NTONTAN (“spider’s web”) symbol comes from the adinkra symbols found in Ghana and historically used by the Asante tribe on cloth, walls and in pottery. Traditionally it is a symbol of wisdom, creativity, and the complexities of life.

Programs

Digital Learning Center Setup

We set up Digital Learning Centres in schools or youth centres, equipped with a variety of ICT hardware—such as desktops, laptops, tablets, Raspberry Pi devices, thin clients, content servers, and projectors—to meet the specific needs of those we serve. We work closely with our beneficiaries to assess their requirements, design the most effective solutions, and implement them to address the intended outcomes.. See More Programs
