UNESCO: Women In Africa History

The project aimed at developing an e-Learning tool to highlight the role of women in African, after history whose contributions are not given the platform they deserve

Young girls were encouraged and motivated by learning the history of great African women such as Bibi Titi Mohamed, Wangari Mathari, Njinga Mbandi, etc. The tool was a perfect example of linking technology, culture, education and sustainable development

A short film documenting the use of the tool at Jangwani secondary school won an award at the 2015 My Hero International film festival. The documentary’s name is “My Little Thing is to Plant a Tree”   Watch Video
