Pan African Awards 2016
Camara Education Tanzania was officially announced as one of the three winners of the Pan African Awards for Entrepreneurship in Education 2016 run by Teach a Man to Fish.

Impact & Evaluation
Our Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) aims to ensure that the project meets the intended goals and, if not, detects the root cause early and responds promptly to the identified issues. Data collection will be done in three phases involving qualitative and quantitative methods, and detailed reports will be shared during the project’s three stages. MEL phases are divided as follows:
Baseline
This phase involves collecting data from students, teachers, school leaders, parents, and education officials before the project commences. The aim is to understand the current situation, perception, ICT usage, challenges, and plans to understand better how the project will resolve them and establish a benchmark for future comparison.
Midline
This phase aims to track how well the project is heading toward achieving its objectives, inform all stakeholders of what is working and what is not, and recommend what can be done to realize the project objectives.
Endline
This is the last phase of MEL, which aims to conduct the final assessment to determine how well the project has met its objectives.
Comprehensive Data Evaluation
Note that each phase will involve monitoring (data collection), evaluation (analysis) and learning (report and action points). Different assessment tools will collect qualitative and quantitative data in each phase.
The combined evaluation of both qualitative and quantitative data from various sources will generate different learning (reports) for the particular phase and the entire project. We have hosted our own Open Data Kit engine for data collection and analytics platform for creating charts and dashboards using data from various data sources.
