Cormac Lynch
Chair and Founder
Cormac has an engineering, finance, and start-up background. After studying engineering at Trinity College, Dublin and Imperial College, London, he worked as a petroleum engineer in the North Sea for several years. He gained an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business in the early ’90s and followed that with a successful career in investment banking, working in New York and London with Goldman Sachs and other ‘Bulge-bracket’ firms, helping companies raise equity and debt financing and carrying out M&A transactions.
He ran a Russian Investment bank in Moscow for several years before returning to Ireland where he set up Camara Education after visiting Ethiopia in 2005 as part of his MSc (International Development) project work. He learnt the importance that people there placed on access to technology and the impact it might have on education. Cormac also initiated a consumer electronics company, Cong Engineering that worked with Chinese partners to develop the next stage TWS earphone devices and is currently an advisor to Aquila Bioscience, a biotech start-up company based in Galway, Ireland.
Aidan Tallon
CEO of Camara Education
is an experienced business leader with a strong background in strategic planning, management, and finance. Currently serving as the CEO of Camara Education, he has a proven track record of implementing practical business solutions across various sectors. With a career spanning over three decades, he has held leadership roles such as Financial Director, COO, and Interim CEO at First Ireland Spirits Group and served as a Management Consultant specializing in financial systems and strategic planning. A graduate of Aston Business School with an MBA, Aidan is also a Chartered Global Management Accountant. His expertise lies in supporting SMEs with growth and international expansion.


Rushi Millns
Board Responsibility: Education
After a successful career in the fast-paced world of telecoms delivering international projects and designing technology solutions, Rushi moved into Education and is Head of Computing and Director of Careers and Outreach at a secondary school. She sits on a number of boards and committees, including those supporting International Development, Hospice UK and the Conservative Women’s Organisation, which encourages and supports women to stand for public office. Rushi is Co-Founder and Joint CEO of Ask Her To Stand Africa, an organisation that works with governments, stakeholders and grass roots organisations to empower women in Africa.
Anita McWilliams
Director of African Operations at Camara Education Ltd
is the Director of African Operations at Camara Education Ltd., overseeing educational technology initiatives across Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, and Ethiopia. With over five years in this role, she leads efforts to transform education through technology, empowering disadvantaged students with digital learning opportunities. Prior to this, she managed the ZamSTEM Project in Zambia and has extensive experience in social work, including child protection and youth program management.
Anita holds a BSc (Hons) in Social Work from the University of Ulster, Magee, and a BSc (Hons) in Criminology & Criminal Justice from the University of Ulster, Jordanstown.


Mwasi Wilmore
CEO of Ubongo
is a dynamic leader and social entrepreneur with extensive experience in strategy, operations, and technology. Currently serving as the CEO of Ubongo, Africa’s leading provider of children’s edutainment, she focuses on defining strategy and scaling impact. Previously, she led Camara Education Tanzania, transforming it from an NGO into a self-sustaining social enterprise. With a background in consulting, she has worked with Deloitte and Africa Insight Advisors, driving operational excellence and aligning African-led organizations with global standards. Mwasi holds a Master’s in International Management from King’s College London and a Bachelor’s in Finance and Banking from Lincoln University.
Frank Oliver Lehmann
Tanzania Board Member
is a seasoned investment professional with a strong background in high-yield credit investing, structured finance, and risk management. Currently serving as an Independent Board Member at My Community Bank and the Principal Owner of THELO Kapital GmbH, he brings decades of expertise in capital markets and derivatives. He previously held senior roles at FMS-Wertmanagement as MD and Deputy CRO, AIG Financial Products as MD Europe, and spent eight years at Goldman Sachs in investment banking. With a doctorate in Business Administration from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, Dr. Lehmann combines strategic financial acumen with deep industry insights.
