UCDVO Project Summary

Introduction

In collaboration with University College Dublin (UCD), Volunteers Overseas (VO) and TanZed the project aims to provide digital skills to teachers and students in primary and secondary schools in Morogoro. This is the longest project we
have implemented so far with 33 schools in rural and urban areas of Morogoro region. Since 2020 we haven’t added any
new schools due to Covid19 challenges restricting funding and volunteers’ travel from Ireland.

Duration 2009 to 2020
950 teachers have been trained.
850 computers installed in schools
Approximately 35,000 students across 33 schools were given access to ICT education
33 classrooms were renovated into fully operational computer labs.
